The comfort and safety of guidance is only missed when it is not felt. Here are 5 acts of guidance to give to yourself. See them as acts of self-care. Some you may practise these often, some you might like to add them into your routine.

Go outside

Have you been indoors too long? Go outside and get some fresh air. We live on an exciting planet. There is a lot to see and do. A daily venture outside will revive your spirit and soul, it will give you hope and faith in this planets mere existence. Be mindful and allow your soul to absorb nature’s beauty. Flower buds ready to unfurl, sprouting leaves, birds hopping about the wind that caresses and the sun that nurtures.

Create a sacred space

Know that your sacred space is within you always. An aim of free flowing ideas and energy is to create a void of space within. Silence. To enhance this creating an altar or visiting a power place to connect with the divine may allow a deeper connection with self. By creating an altar or visiting a sacred space you connect with the symbols and energy that have been infused with meaning and prayer. Your inner sanctity connects to the outer world. It doesn’t actually matter how you connect. Only that you do.


Allow yourself to receive. This will increase your intuition, energy, and ability to give to others. Receiving is the essence of feminine energy. Allow yourself to ask for whatever you need, to receive, to allow free flow of energy within. Have you noticed the hundreds of gifts you already receive each day. Receiving the beauty of nature, witnessing a touching human moment, or being hugged by someone you love. Say thank you for each gift and allow them to flow through.

Stand Tall

Stand up and be your truth for what you believe is right. In clinic I see a pattern of people who for various reasons say what they think others want to hear rather than what they believe to be true. These might be small surface conversations. This may seem light with no impact. Although the energy that shows when this issue surfaces is confusion and a low sense of self worth. To achieve a sense of self worth and truth, first be bright and clear about your intentions.  Next be kind and set your personal boundaries around these intentions. Be assertive, be OK with others reactions. Speak and be your own truth and everything in life will be ok.

Quiet time

Take some time alone to rest, meditate and contemplate. Quiet your mind, breathe and let go of thoughts to access the silence deep within you. Access this vortex of peace where only you, your divine self exist. This practise will allow a void so in appropriate time new information will filter into your space allowing you to be an even grander version of yourself. A tip: if you find yourself having a restless night direct your energy out of your mind and into your body. Aim for the soles of your feet. From this space concentrate on your breath. From here your body should move to a state of inner peace.
